    Hello 2014

    It's a few weeks from Christmas and some people chose to leave their house hunting for after the holidays. More serious buyers and sellers are still out there trying to find their dream home or sell their current house to move on with their journey.     Fredericksburg Virginia?

    Growing up and living in New York was all that I ever knew. Of course I have vacationed in other states over the years and drove through even more. It was not until about nine years ago when I was raising my young family that the thought came up to move. My husband and I looked at upstate New York and all the surrounding states to no avail and then one day a friend of mine said those fateful words, "Did you ever think about Fredericksburg Virginia?".
     
    We had driven to Florida several times down I95 and I knew we must have passed Fredericksburg, but, I could not remember much about it. The thought intrigued me and the research began. Every free weekend we would load up the kids and get into the car to come explore. The more we came the more we loved it here. Plus, we would only be a few hours away from our family in New York, within 50 miles of Washington D.C. to the north and Richmond to the south.     House Hunting in the Wintertime??

    Now that we have taken the "fall back", holidays are around the corner and the weather is slowly getting a bit cooler. It also brings a good question to mind. Is it a bad time to buy a home?
