Fredericksburg Virginia?
Growing up and living in New York was all that I ever knew. Of course I have vacationed in other states over the years and drove through even more. It was not until about nine years ago when I was raising my young family that the thought came up to move. My husband and I looked at upstate New York and all the surrounding states to no avail and then one day a friend of mine said those fateful words, "Did you ever think about Fredericksburg Virginia?".
We had driven to Florida several times down I95 and I knew we must have passed Fredericksburg, but, I could not remember much about it. The thought intrigued me and the research began. Every free weekend we would load up the kids and get into the car to come explore. The more we came the more we loved it here. Plus, we would only be a few hours away from our family in New York, within 50 miles of Washington D.C. to the north and Richmond to the south. Now it has changed quite a bit since then and the growth is amazing, but, there is not a day that we regret making the big move. We still have family in New York and the kids do love it there, but, they prefer their life here.
We all know that the area is rich in history, but, there is so much more to do and see right at your fingertips. If you are thinking about a change and want to know more about the Fredericksburg area without taking a field trip to get here, just click on the link below to see all that Fredericksburg has to offer.
